Frequently asked questions
Here are answers to some of the questions sent in to NorthernArt. Please take the time to look through, the answer to your question might be here!
If I send my artwork in on an A4 piece of paper will I get it back?
No, unfortunately we get so much artwork sent it there is just too much to send back to each individual. Just make a copy of your artwork and send it in to art@northernartzone.net along with your name and age.
How will my artwork be used?
Lots of local businesses view the Northern Art gallery and if they like what they see they may use your artwork in one of their publications. For instance, if a local garden centre is producing a leaflet and they see a picture of a flower they like from the gallery, they can get in touch with us and ask permission to use your picture. They must agree to publish your name alongside the picture and send us a copy of the publication which we send to you. You get to have your artwork published along with your name, it's your chance to get your artwork seen!
What kind of pictures do you think are more likely to be used?
Most images have got some commercial use. Think of all the publications out there from local swimming clubs to supermarket promotions. All use illustrations to promote their goods - so it could be a drawing of a tomato, cherries etc for the supermarket or a fish to promote swimming lessons (learn to swim like a fish)
